In the US, there are nearly two smartphone game players for every PC, tablet, or console player. The difference in time spent is much narrower, though. We estimate that the average US adult plays mobile games 24.4 minutes per day, or 40.2% of their total time spent on video games. Mobile games rely less on advertising than in the past.

As he mentioned, and we agree, only Netflix draws more time and attention from its users than Hulu does among this category. TikTok also would be ahead of Hulu, but they probably don't consider TikTok to be direct competitor. Hulu way, way ahead of platforms like Amazon Prime Video and Disney Plus, which is relevant to this conversation.

You have YouTube beating out Netflix in terms of watch time, and all of these things have served to really make marketers realize that this is a space that we need to be working in. I will say though that not every CMO, not every brand is rushing towards creators and influencers with open arms. There's still quite a bit of hesitancy.

So if I look at the numbers, so quarter over quarter, 14 million of that 37 million DAU growth came from the rest of world region, and 19 million came from APAC, compared to just three million from Europe and only one million from US and Canada. So that goes back to the story where people tend to look at Europe, US, and Canada and go, "Oh, Facebook is not growing."
