Senior Analyst

Max Willens is a senior analyst on Ä¢¹½AV’s digital advertising and media desk, where he covers commerce-focused channels including retail media, paid social and affiliate marketing. He has hosted and presented webinars on topics ranging from generative AI to retail media, and is a frequent guest on Ä¢¹½AV’s podcasts. He has been quoted in news outlets such as Bloomberg, Reuters, the BBC and the Associated Press, as well as trade publications ranging from Adweek to The Drum to Digiday.

Prior to joining Ä¢¹½AV, Max served as senior editor of research and features at Digiday, where he oversaw Digiday+ Research in addition to his reporting duties. His work was cited and shared by outlets including The Wall Street Journal, CNN and Adweek.

Max is a graduate of the Craig Newmark School of Journalism at CUNY, where he was a CUNY Chancellor Award winner, a Punch Sulzberger Scholar and a McGraw Business Fellow.
