Smartphone ownership is nearly universal in Canada, but time spent with mobile media in the country trails many other similar countries. Average daily time spent on mobile devices in Canada is 33 minutes lower than in the US, for instance. Western Europe doesn’t fit predictable patterns of media consumption.

I had to look at what's happening in Canada, and it seems to be maybe the opposite of what's happening in the us. So in 2023 year, the report that I was looking at reports on that given year, 70% of government ad spending was in digital channels and 16% was in social media. Now, that's just a non-election year, that sort of run of the mill government advertising.
