The news: Klarna is available as a payment option on eBay across Europe, rolling out in the UK, France, Spain, Austria, Italy, and the Netherlands after a pilot in Germany, per a press release. eBay shoppers will be able to pay using Klarna’s Pay in 3, Pay in 30, or big-ticket Financing option.

Loyalty program adoption is highest in the UK: 92% of UK consumers participate in at least one loyalty or reward program, ahead of France (81%), Spain (75%), Germany (72%), and Italy (70%), per an April 2024 survey by Capterra. Supermarkets are winning the loyalty race with member pricing strategies.

At the same time, parent Bytedance’s slowing ecommerce growth in China is fueling the search for new markets: TikTok is recruiting merchants in Spain and Ireland ahead of a broader push into Europe. The feature is available to customers in the US, Germany, Italy, and Spain and will launch in the UK soon.
