Several US senators asked Zelle parent company Early Warning Services to clarify how it handles fraud. And over the past couple months, Bank of America, Wells Fargo, and Early Warning Services have all been subject to lawsuits. In July, PayPal was hit with its own fraud lawsuit with the plaintiff alleging “huge, undisclosed security risks” associated with Venmo.

This is the bank-backed provider of Zelle, the phenomenally successful product that, from a payment value perspective, has blown past all of these fintech players when it comes to P2P, and Early Warning wants to do the same here with digital wallets by launching the Paze digital wallet this year. It's off to I think a good start, in the sense that it's, basically, just launched.

There's the bank network Zelle I think has had tremendous adoption and uptick relative to competitors like Venmo. And it's built into your bank. If you can explain that and the benefits of using a super app that does more than one thing, I think that's better for a bank marketer because now you're not the traditional stodgy brick-and-mortar bank that your dad went to or your grandparents went to.
